TeamSnap surprised a girls flag football team during Good Morning America’s afternoon show. During a 1-hour special show, also known as “GMA3 Tailgate Takeover” from Metlife Stadium, TeamSnap CEO Peter Frintzilas provided the Ridgewood High School Girls Flag Football Champions with a trip to Orlando, Florida for the 2023 Pro Bowl Games. In celebration of women and girls’ access to sport plus a once in a lifetime surprise, TeamSnap was thrilled to support these girls as they continue to go after their dreams.
Also there to inspire and celebrate the team, was Diana Flores, is a Mexican flag football player and a quarterback and captain of the Mexican national team. Flores’ decorated career as a flag football athlete and global ambassador hasn’t been one without sacrifice, however she had many words of wisdom for the Ridgewood High School Girls Flag Football team.
TeamSnap asked, What is one piece advice you would give this group of girls heading into a very exciting time?
Flores: “Wow, dream big and work hard, because you can achieve anything you want in life if you are disciplined and you keep your focus and goals. You will never be alone, you will always find amazing people that are willing to give you a hand to achieve your dreams. And also, be THAT girl.”
Listen below.
The day wrapped up with lots of smiles, tears, and excitement around what’s to come for this girls team and the sport of flag football for girls globally.
