Ingredients:
- 1-1-2 cups whole wheat bread, cubed
- 3-3-4 cups white bread, cubed
- 1 lb. ground turkey sausage
- 1 cup yellow onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup celery, chopped
- 2-1-2 tsp. dried sage
- 1-1-2 tsp. dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 Golden Delicious apple, cored and chopped
- 3/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/3 cup minced fresh parsley
- 3/4 cup turkey stock
- 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
Directions:
- In a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice.
- Stir in the cranberries and cook until the cranberries start to pop, about 10 minutes.
- Remove from heat and place sauce in a bowl. Cranberry sauce will thicken as it cools.
- Mix in chopped apple, dried cranberries, parsley, and liver. Drizzle with turkey stock and melted butter, and mix lightly.
- Allow stuffing to cool completely before loosely stuffing a turkey.
