Coming off of 2020, we were sure 2021 would have some bright spots in it. It turns out, 2021 was quite the year for TeamSnap. Hats off to all our TeamSnappers and TeamSnap customers who are helping us grow year after year. Here are some of our favorite moments from 2021.
TeamSnap was named as the best sports club management software of 2021 by Digital.com, a leading independent review website for small business online tools, products, and services. Our platform was evaluated based on our club management features and integration capabilities including its registration and payment solutions along with its new Health Check COVID-19 screening tool.
We partnered with NFL Flag to provide them with our leading tournaments software platform, TeamSnap Tournaments, which now serves as the official tournament app of NFL FLAG.
NFL FLAG organizes and operates 12 marquee tournaments in partnership with NFL clubs and eight expanded tournaments, NFL FLAG Opens, each year. This includes the NFL FLAG Bowl and NFL FLAG Championships at Pro Bowl which attract hundreds of teams from across the country.
To help us grow into our new phase of development, we partnered with Waud Capital Partners, a leading growth-oriented middle-market private equity firm. This partnership has accelerated our growth and provided resources to expand TeamSnap’s software offerings for athletes, their families and sports organizations of all sizes.
In partnership with the Aspen Institute’s Sports & Society Program, Families in Sport Lab at Utah State University, and Louisiana Tech University’s Minds in Motion Lab, we conducted a research study exploring the effects of the pandemic on young people and youth sports.
The study demonstrated significant findings about the connection between youth sports and mental health, with 9 in 10 parents (89%) citing mental health as a top reason their children participate in youth sports, and the majority of parents (52%) reporting that their children’s mental health and physical fitness decreased during the pandemic.
*+20M completed since launching Health Check
We screened over 20 million players using TeamSnap Health Check since launching in the summer of 2020.
To help better support our coaches, we created the TeamSnap Coaches’ Corner, a resource library full of educational coaching content, curated by TeamSnap and industry partners like Aspen Institute, Positive Coaching Alliance, Coaching Association of Canada, RISE Athletes and CoachTube.
To continue our efforts towards getting more children involved in sports and making sports accessible, we partnered with Playeasy to create a sporting event marketplace, where TeamSnap’s audiences can search and book sporting event venues across the country through Playeasy’s software.
Each year, Outside Magazine recognizes the top companies in America that raise the standards for work-life balance, company culture, and employee benefits. Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we continued to put customers, community, and people first and are honored to be recognized as one of the best places to work.
