Front-end Software Developer

As a front-end software developer, Nate focuses on Javascript development for the part of the product that the customer interacts with, making sure the TeamSnap web interface gets better and faster every day.

Before joining TeamSnap, Nate co-founded www.skiffer.net, where he also served as the software engineer in charge developing the school management service for K-12 schools, managing servers, doing sales, customer support and every other hat available in a startup. Nate has also worked doing research on transportation and urbanism for the Transportation and Public Works Department of Puerto Rico and was a Design Engineer at the General Motors (GM) Design Center in Michigan.

Nate lives in Mayaguez, in the western region of Puerto Rico, where he grew up but has also lived in Detroit, Madrid and Barcelona. He's not just a traveler though, Nate is a well-educated traveler to boot. He holds a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. He studied design and business management at the University Alfonso X El Sabio in Madrid, and he studied sustainable urbanism at the Urban Planing School of the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras. He also holds a master's degree in Advanced Architecture at the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia in Barcelona.

In his spare time, Nate enjoys designing and building furniture, volunteering his time and architecture talents to a variety of projects, playing guitar and video games, and spending time with his wife, daughter and pet fish.
