Soccer

Odds and Evens

A basic soccer passing drill for early learners and a good warm-up soccer drill for more intermediate players, teams line up a few yards from a line of soccer balls, one line is told they attack if an odd number is called the other is listening for an even number.

Teams line up a few yards from a line of footballs

One line is told they attack if an odd number is called the other is listening for an even number

The coach calls out a number at random

The corresponding team must try to strike the other team below waist height

The other team must try to make it to safety over their line

Any player who is hit is out, the winner is the last player in

Watch carefully that players are passing the ball low, do not allow balls to be fired dangerously

You may want to begin by using colors instead of numbers for younger children
