Ottawa, Ontario (August 24, 2015) – The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) and TeamSnap are proud to announce their new partnership in support of the inaugural National Coaches Week, September 19-27, 2015.
“We’re proud to partner with TeamSnap to support and recognize coaches during National Coaches Week,” said Lorraine Lafrenière, Chief Executive Officer of the CAC. “We recognize how important a volunteer coach’s time is to the sport community, and together with TeamSnap, thank coaches for making valuable contributions to communities across Canada.”
TeamSnap is an online and mobile app for organizing and communicating every aspect of team life, alleviating the logistical problems of wrangling schedules, practices, equipment and volunteers, and providing up-to-the-second info on where everyone needs to be and what they need to bring. Eight million coaches, parents, team managers and players use TeamSnap’s web and mobile apps to stay up to date on games, practices and all the details through email, text and instant alerts.
“TeamSnap believes in the power of community and team spirit, so we stand by the CAC’s dedication to encouraging and supporting more community coach volunteers,” said Ken McDonald, TeamSnap’s Chief Growth Officer. “We’re excited to join the CAC in this mission and are looking forward to working with Canada’s coaches more fully.”
National Coaches Week will celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. It will be an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play by simply saying #ThanksCoach.
