Vancouver, B.C. (May 27, 2015) – British Columbia’s coaches will benefit from a new partnership between ViaSport and TeamSnap. In addition to providing resources to ViaSport’s coaching initiatives, TeamSnap will offer a complimentary trial subscription to coaches who participate in any of ViaSport’s multi-sport National Coaching Certification Program (“NCCP”) courses hosted in B.C. in the next year.
TeamSnap is an online and mobile tool that makes managing, coaching and participating in team sports easier by organizing and communicating up-to-the-second updates of every aspect of team life, including game schedules, practices and equipment needs.
More than 8 million coaches, parents, team managers and players use TeamSnap's web and mobile apps to save their sanity and stay in the know through email, text and instant alerts. TeamSnap tames the logistical nightmare of wrangling schedules, practices, equipment and volunteers, providing up-to-the-second info on where everyone needs to be and what they need to bring, and allows coaches to concentrate on coaching, not on organizing logistics.
“Coaches are leaders in both sport and in our communities, and ViaSport is committed to providing them with greater resources and more opportunities to improve and streamline their coaching practices,” says ViaSport CEO Cathy Priestner Allinger. “TeamSnap is a powerful tool that allows coaches to focus their energy on creating the best experience for all athletes.”
“TeamSnap believes in the power of community, athletics and teamwork, so ViaSport and their dedication to the professional development of coaches is a natural partner fit for us,” said Ken McDonald, TeamSnap’s Chief Growth Officer. “We are excited to work together to help coaches in British Columbia discover new techniques for coaching and more easily manage their teams.”
