We are excited to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month here at TeamSnap! The month starts on September 15th, kicking off with the Independence Days for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. The month is celebrated through October 15th and honors the many diverse countries, languages and cultures of Hispanic and Latino folks in the US and around the world. We are excited to highlight and celebrate the cultural richness Hispanic and Latino heritage has brought to our many communities, as well as the accomplishments and influence Hispanic and Latino folks have had on American culture.
What is the difference between Hispanic and Latino? Read more about the difference here. Hispanic and Latino folks make up about 18.5% of the population in the US. That’s more than 60 million Americans!
As we honor the trailblazers of our past, we must forge the way to our future with more Hispanic and Latinx members around every table. This month, we wanted to take a moment to shine a spotlight on some of our incredible TeamSnap employees' stories, what this month means to them and how we can all work together to increase diversity, equity and inclusion in sports, the workplace and beyond:

As a result, my higher education and professional experience have also been shaped by my background as an undocumented Latina.
