As an operations engineer, Alex is charged with working with the rest of the Ops Team to ensure that the Starship TeamSnap is giving Scotty (and our customers) everything its got. Before joining TeamSnap, Alex was a lead tech at Rackspace, designing and supporting environments for Fortune 1000 accounts across a wide array of platforms and environments. Before that, Alex worked as a Unix/Storage administrator for ESPN, where (among other things), he wrote software to manage tape libraries and built large-scaling GPFS clusters.
Alex grew up in Bantam, CT, before fleeing for the mountains and lush rolling valleys of The West. He curently lives in Missoula, MT, with his sweetie Kait and their three fur-babies. While he's bounced around between Colorado and other states, Montana is the only place that feels like home. In his spare time, Alex is an avid motorcyclist of all makes and models and enjoys long motorcycling trips off-road, camping along the way. He also rides a Ural sidecar, which he and his co-pilot dogs regularly ride around the United States and Canada. He enjoys metal fabrication, welding, machining, backcountry/outdoor activities, high-speed coffee and steaming hot internet. He also plays goalie for a local ice hockey team, stopping pucks and robbing wingers dreams.
