Fact: You don’t have to be a coach to enjoy TeamSnap. Thanks to our easy-to-use, time-saving features to help with event planning and team management, our app is quite popular among team moms and dads. Just ask Stacy McLaughlin, team mom for the Bucs Flag Football team in Georgetown, Texas.
“TeamSnap is a lifesaver to a team mom! It’s a one-stop shop for all of our team needs,” says Stacy. “TeamSnap allows us to contact the team via Messaging and email, and parents can update player availability so coaches know if the team is going to play without a player.”
Before Stacy was the super-organized, hero team mom of her son’s flag football team, she first was a parent for her son’s tee-ball team, which is where she was introduced to TeamSnap.
“The team mom seemed to have it all together without stressing,” recalls Stacy. “TeamSnap made her job much easier. So, when I became team mom for our son’s flag football team, I went straight to TeamSnap!”
The Bucs use TeamSnap to schedule all of their practices and games, and Stacy and the coaches can easily contact players and parents about updates and announcements.
“When the league sends out the schedule for the season, I can put each game in and assign a parent to bring snacks, and TeamSnap sends reminders for me. This keeps our team all on the same page,” says Stacy.
The Bucs play fall and spring season flag football with anywhere from 10 to 14 players on the team. Stacy’s husband is one of three coaches, and all three coaches work very hard to make sure each player gets time on the field.
“The spirit of our team is fabulous!” says Stacy. “We may not always be the best, but our players have heart. While we strive to win each game, if we can teach our players to respect each other, the game, the coaches, the refs, and the opponents, we are sending them away with a skill set that will benefit our boys for a lifetime.”
TeamSnap loves our team moms and dads! And we couldn’t be happier the feeling is mutual.
“TeamSnap is there for us every season! I am thankful for the app as soon as the season starts,” says Stacy.
