Coaches are some of the hardest working people around. They’re out there every day making young athletes’ lives a little better. But between parents, playing time concerns, safety and more, it’s not an easy job.

If your club or league isn’t operating at 100 percent, you might be making things even harder for your coaches. And if you don’t have the right tools to keep things humming, they won’t wait around for you to figure it out.

But don’t worry, we’re here to help with some tips to ensure your coaches are happy.

Integrate Registrations, Rosters and Team Management

Bring registration, rostering, and team management under one roof. The integration will save your coaches a lot of late-night headaches and data-entry nightmares. With the right tool, creating a form will take minutes, and parents send their completed forms directly to you, without your coaches acting as go-betweens. It’s a great way to save coaches’ time (and sanity).

Give Coaches, Parents and Fans a Single Source of Truth

You know a frustrating, bad website when you see it because you can’t actually find what you are looking for. Few things will cause more unnecessary work for coaches than a poorly maintained website. When parents can’t find what they need, the coach is the first person they call, email, text. Again and again and again.

Consider building an FAQ of questions parents would normally be asking coaches about. Make your site the source of truth for all club-related information, so the coach isn’t forced to answer organizational questions.

      Streamline Your Communication

This is a biggie for coaches. When important info needs to get out to everyone, miscommunication isn’t an option. Endless email chains make coaches sad. Group text messages on four different apps make them even sadder.

Instead, use a single communication app designed specifically for clubs and leagues like yours. Look for one that lets you send messages to specific groups, such as just coaches. This cuts down on clutter and prevents important information from getting lost among not-so-important information.
