Week of August 3 Updates

In partnership with Under Armour, I am proud to share this heat map as a real-time and data-informed resource that tracks the return to youth sports. This map provides visibility into state-by-state and sport-specific trends across the United States and Canada, and is accompanied by tools and resources to help support a safe return to sports. I invite you to explore, follow and share!

Week August 3, 2020 findings include:

• For the third consecutive week, we have seen the comprehensive U.S. Return to Sport Index score decrease, falling to 66.4%

• Football holds the lowest Return to Sport score for both the U.S. (34.7%) and Canada (51.5%).
• Volleyball and Lacrosse activities continue to steadily increase across Canada. These sports are heavily contributing to the country's 100.0% Return to Sport Index score.
• California’s comprehensive Return to Sport Index score decreased again this week, falling to 34.1%.
